What happens in the workshop?

Through fun, interactive challenges, participants will explore chess strategies and tactics, mating patterns, opening principles, chess etiquette, sportsmanship, and other skills suited to the level of participants. Thanks to small class sizes, we can tailor activities to each individual's pace of learning.

By the end of the workshop, folks will be able to play and enjoy chess at a competitive tournament level. They will have increased tactical vision and theoretical knowledge, including an appreciation for the opening, middlegame, and endgame phases.

How much does it cost?

Total cost is $195 per participant and includes an official USCF (U.S Chess Federation) tournament chess set including vinyl roll up board and bag.

After we receive your registration form, we will contact you to request a $45 deposit that reserves your participant seat.
